Her parents, Mr. K. Ram Mohan Babu and Mrs. R. Komala, are esteemed educationists in Bengaluru and founders of the well-reputed "Little Angel's School" in the Bannerghatta region. This environment, rich in educational and cultural values, significantly influenced Keerthana's journey.
Keerthana pursued her early education with diligence and passion, reflecting the academic ethos instilled by her parents. She graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, and went on to complete her Bachelors in Education, showcasing her commitment to academic excellence and her desire to contribute to the field of education.
Dance and Artistic Pursuits
In addition to her academic achievements, Keerthana is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer. Introduced to the classical dance form at the tender age of four by her parents, she initially trained under the esteemed Late Guru Vid. Smt. Padmini Rao at Ponnaiah Lalitha Kala Nikethana in Bengaluru. After the passing of her first guru, she continued her training under Guru Vid. Smt. Darshini Manjunath, completing her junior grade examination from KSEEB and performing globally through Nritya Disha Trust. Currently, she is guided by Guru Vid. Smt. Rekha Jagadish in Bangalore.
Keerthana's dedication and talent in Bharatanatyam have taken her to national and international stages, including performances in London, Malaysia, and Thailand. She has also completed her Vidwath level examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) with Distinction and is trained in playing the Nattuvangam instrument for dance recitals under the tutelage of Guru Vidwan Bhavani Shankar.
Professional Roles
Keerthana's professional journey is as impressive as her academic and artistic achievements. She is the Chairperson of "Shri Vinayaka Education Society" and serves as the Secretary of "Little Angel's School," contributing to the legacy of her parents by fostering educational excellence. In 2015, she established "Kalaalayam Samstha" on Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, a classical dance institution dedicated to training students exclusively in Bharatanatyam.
Beyond her roles in education and dance, Keerthana is an evaluator for the SSLC examination and the Dance and Music examination conducted by the KSEEB, Government of Karnataka. Keerthana is married to Mr. Boomeswar B.S., the Chief Perfumer at Divine Chemi Oils and Managing Director at Divine Perfumes. She also plays a significant role as the Chief of the R&D Department at Divine Perfumes, balancing her professional responsibilities with her artistic and educational pursuits.
